    Deadly Blast near Boston Marathon

*Edit-9:20pm Est. 3 people dead in boston blast. One of which was an 8 year old boy.

We don't now much about this blast other then what is listed below. We don't know of any sources yet until further notice. The blast killed 3 people and 144 people were injured. The marathons facebook page referred to the blast as bombs, but authorities are still investigating.

As a result of this explosion many cities are tightening up there security including New York city. In boston they are patrolling the skies with armed aircraft in suspicion of another attack.

The explosions occurred at about 2:45 p.m., more than two hours after the first of the race's nearly 27,000 runners had crossed the finish line, CNN Producer Matt Frucci reported.

The race was halted as well as the subway service into the area.

Troops from the Massachusetts National Guard were assisting police as well.

The explosions sent lots of smoke into the air at Copley Square, which turned this day of celebration into a mess of destruction and terror. Sad

"It felt like a huge cannon," a witness told CNN about one of the blasts.

I feel sorry for all the runners who were in the marathon today, As this event was important for them and it was halted by explosions and devastation.
