    Labrador Retrievers

Labrador retrievers are a smart, loving, even tempered type of dog. They are very good around children and in my opinion they are one of the best dogs out their (cause I have one Smile haha). Labrador retrievers originated in Canada and the male dogs can be as tall as 56–63 cm (22–25 in) while the female labs are usually 54–60 cm (21–24 in). The male dog usually weighs 27–40 kg (60–88 lb) and the female weighs 27–35 kg (60–77 lb). They come in the following color choices Black, chocolate, or yellow (mine is yellow). The usual lifespan for labrador retrievers is 12-13 years (but mine will live forever!)

Labradors are very playful and require a lot of attention. My dog always wants to play or go for a walk and it's energy never seems to run out (except on really long days). Labradors can be trained to aid the blind and autistic with different tasks.

This article is dedicated to my dog Maggie! struttin
